We celebrate all the major national and religious festivals like Independence Day, Diwali, Gurupurab, Christmas etc. in school. The whole campus is decorated in accordance with the festival. Various competitions are also organised as a part of the celebrations. Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Earth Day, Mother’s Day, World Asthma Day, Labour Day etc. also celebrated in the school.
Special Assembly offers a platform to the students to showcase their talent. Hundred percent participation is the significant feature of the Special Assembly. Every class presents a Special Assembly on a theme like Monsoons, Rakshabandhan, Janamashtami, World Day for Cultural Development etc. The theme is depicted through speeches, a skit, songs and a dance performance.
The House-System comprises Nilgiri , Himalaya ,Shivalik and Aravali House. All the competitions are Inter-House competitions. Each house is allotted points in accordance with the performance of its members. Such a system inculcates a sense of belonging in the students which in turn, develops in them the spirit of unity, patriotism and responsibility towards the earth community.
The School Morning Assembly aims at inculcating discipline and confidence in the children. It begins with a prayer , Pledge , News , Thoughts , Special Announcements and National Anthem. It is conducted by all houses weekly. The house on duty presents the thought, news and a speech. The teachers also give a pep talk on some moral value twice a week. Extempore and Learning Words make the Morning Assembly unique. A birthday card is presented and the birthday song sung for the birthday children.
The Annual Function offers a glimpse of the talent that we hope. It is a show par excellence. Hundred percent participation is its key-feature. The faculty and the students labour strenuously to put up a show of remarkable excellence and perfection. It is witnessed by an eminent personalities and parents. The Annual Function is an eagerly awaited moment of the year.
